Where Famed tile works

We use this line in bathroom floors and walls, shower surrounds, backsplashes and fireplace fronts. Porcelain versions give you the veining without the sealing, etching and staining that come with real stone in a wet room.

Porcelain is fired denser than standard ceramic, so it absorbs almost no water and can go on floors, walls and outdoors. It is the harder-wearing of the two and the right call for anything that takes traffic.

Sizes, layout and grout

Most collections in this range come in several formats plus a coordinating mosaic, so a floor,
a shower floor and a niche can all be pulled from the same family. Layout changes the result more
than people expect. A straight stack reads modern, a running bond feels traditional, and a
herringbone turns the floor itself into the feature.

Grout is the other decision. Matching the grout to the tile makes a surface look continuous and
larger. Contrasting grout emphasizes the shape of each piece. We usually bring both options to the
table before ordering, because it is not something you can change later.

Installation and upkeep

Tile only performs as well as what sits under it. We check for deflection, use the right
underlayment or uncoupling membrane, and waterproof wet areas properly before a single piece goes
down. Corners cut there show up as cracked grout within a year.

Maintenance is simple: sweep and damp mop. Sealing depends on the material, and we tell you at
