Innsbruck hardwood flooring is one of the real wood floors we carry for renovations and new construction across the Charlotte Metro.

Innsbruck is a color in Knight Hardwood’s Creekside collection. Engineered, prefinished European White Oak flooring with a wire-brushed super matte finish. 6-1/2 in wide, random length up to 71 in long, 3/8 in thick, 1.2mm wear layer, character grade with filled knots, micro bevel edges. 28.77 sq ft per box. Suitable for above, on, or below grade installation.

About this wood

Oak is the workhorse of American flooring. The open grain hides day-to-day wear well and it takes stain evenly, which is why it shows up in most homes around Charlotte. Real wood is also the only floor that can be sanded and
refinished, so a scratched or dated floor can be brought back rather than torn out. Handled well,
it outlasts every other flooring category by decades and it is the surface buyers still ask for
by name.

Prefinished, and what that means for your schedule

This floor arrives already sanded and finished from the factory. There is no sanding dust in your house, no solvent smell and no waiting three days for coats to cure. In most cases you can move furniture back the same day the last board goes down. The factory finish is also cured under UV light, which makes it harder and more consistent than anything that can be applied on site.

Installing Innsbruck hardwood flooring

Wood moves with humidity, so we acclimate the material in your home before installation and
check subfloor moisture first. Skipping that step is the single most common cause of gaps and
cupping later. Method depends on the subfloor: nail-down over plywood, glue-down over concrete.

Day to day, sweep or vacuum with a hard-floor setting and clean with a wood-specific product.
Keep standing water off the floor and use felt pads under furniture. More on our
